Teach and reinforce socially acceptable language and behavior to all students. Staff will model and reinforce socially acceptable language and behavior.
Support efforts to reduce drug/alcohol use by school-age students. Use existing policies and regulations to enforce consequences
Continue to consider future facility needs of the school district
Monitor effectiveness of K-12 reading program. Receive semi-annual reports of student reading performance
Support the continued efforts of the Academic Achievement Committee. Receive semi-annual reports from the Committee and progressively implement its recommendations
Encourage and support efforts targeted at helping students meet writing, reading, and math assessment state standards
Continue to review the staff evaluation process
Continue to monitor the effectiveness of the ESL program. Reports to the boeard will include data on the length of student participation in the program
Develop assessment data that will enhance instruction, focusing on writing, reading, and math
Study the need for the optional calendar to resurface
Monitor the implementation of the SASI program through semi-annual reports
Communicate the district's philosophy regarding the value and use of ACT and other test scores
Develop a plan to strengthen relationships and communications with employees by providing regular formal and informal opportunities for communication
Increase parental involvement through:
The elementary school PTA's
Parent / Teacher Conferences
Staff Development materials
Challenging each building administrator to add two new events to each calendar
Continue to identify sites for acquisition to allow for future construction
Develop a plan to fully utilize the Distance Learning facilities
Remain committed to providing quality staff development opportunities
Support the continued positive transition of the new grade configurations
Continue to implement efforts to develop the academic reputation of the school district
