Promoting good sportsmanship and encouraging school spirit are the main focuses of the cheerleading program at South Sioux City High School. Twenty-five girls make up the cheerleading squads at South Sioux City High School. The girls go through tryouts and are selected to serve on one of the teams. Teams include: Varsity & JV Football, Varsity & JV Boys Basketball, Varsity & JV Girls Basketball, & Varsity Wrestling
The cheerleaders at SSC work hard throughout the year doing fundraisers, attending cheer camps, making posters, and decorating lockers.
