STATE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME:  The NE Class B State Basketball Championship Game saw the SSC Lady Cardinals defeat Lincoln Pius X by a score of 63-48 to claim their 7th State Title in the last 8 years.  In a tough fought game that could have gone either way, the Lady Cardinals kept their composure in the tight game & forged to victory & the championship.  Jane H. led the way with 21 points - 8 points in the final period, along with 4 of her 7 rebounds.  Jenni F. added 20 points with 14 of them coming in 2nd period of play.  Andrea S. & Ashley R. each contributed 8 points and Amanda W. had another fine defensive effort in the win.

STATE SEMI-FINAL GAME:  In the Class B State Semi-Final Game the SSC Lady Cardinals defeated Gretna, NE by a score of 63-28.  A super defensive effort by they Cardinals!  Jane H. & Andrea S. led the way each with 20 points.  Jenni F. added 9 points & Ashley R. 4 points.  Amanda W. & Jamee P. each had very good defensive efforts.

STATE QAURTER-FINAL GAME:  SSC Lady Cardinals Basketball defeated Sidney, NE in the 1st round of the NE Girls State BB Tournament by a score of 64-33.  The win propels the Lady Cardinals into a Semi-final game on Friday, March 1st @ 7:00 P.M. in the Bob Devaney Center with a record of 22-3.  Jenni F. led the Lady Cards with 21 points, Andrea S. added 13 points, & Jane H. netted 12.  Amanda W. and Ashley R. had nice games, along with Jamee P. & Amanda M.   Amanda M. grabbed quite a few rebounds & dish out some assists.  All the girls saw action in the tournament game.
