2002 Season Results & Highlights

• Ashley Robinette was named to the NE Coaches Association Girls Golf All-State team.  Congratulations!

• The Lady Cardinals Golf Team finishes tied for 5th place in the NE Class A State Golf Tournament.
  Ashley R. completed a successful two day run earning a medal & finishing in 4th place individually. 
  Ashley R. carded an 82 in the 2nd day of the tournament for a 2 day total of 161 (79-82).  Other scores included Amy R. with an 84 and a total of 169 (85-84), Jessica T. with an 85 on the 2nd day (1st day score was disallowed do to a rules violation), Molly Frank with a 95 and a total of 182 (87-95), Courtney B. with a 126 and a total of 235 (109-126).  GREAT JOB GALS!  SSCHS & the Community  are Proud of You!

• After day 1 of the NE Class A State Golf Tournament the Lady Cardinals currently ride in 8th Place.  Leading the way for the Lady Cardinals was Ashley R. with a round of 79, which places her in 5th place individually.  Other scores from day 1 of the tournament include Amy R. with a round of 85, Molly F. with an 87, and Courtney B. with 109.  Jessica T. score did not count do to a rules violation; she'll tee it up again today.

• Lady Cardinals Golf Team Advances to the NE Class A State Golf Tournament!
  Outscoring Omaha Burke by a 361-420 margin in NE Class A District play, the Lady Cardinals move on to the state golf meet.  Leading the way and winning medalist honors was Jessica T. with a round of 85.  Ashley R. carded an 86 to be runner-up medalist, followed by teammates Molly F. with a 95 (4th place) and Amy R. with a 95 (5th place).  Not only the team, but the top 10 individuals  also qualified to participate in the Class A State Golf Tournament.

• THIRD STRAIGHT River Cities Golf Title to the Lady Cardinals!
  At the Beatrice Country Club the Lady Cardinals shot a team score of 357 to win the River Cities Conference Golf Title over 2nd place Omaha Duchesne, which shot a 365.  Medalist honors went to SSC's Ashley R. with a round of 83 (44 on the front & 39 on the back), while sister Amy R. carded an 87 to finish 3rd individually.  Rounding out the scoring were Jessica T. with a 92, which was good enough for a 5th place finish, and Molly F. with a 95, to finish sixth.  An outstanding effort by all!

• Lady Cardinals Golf Team finished 3rd in the Wayne Invite shooting a 363.  Leading the way for the Lady Cardinals was Ashley R. shooting an 82 and finishing in 5th place in the medalist running .   Jessica T. shot an 86 to finish 9th individually.  Amy R. carded a 96 & Molly F. a 99 to finishing out the scoring.

• The Lady Cards lost to Ralston by one stroke on Thursday, Sept. 26th @ Chili Green Course in Omaha.  The team scores were Ralston 182 and SSC 183.  They fall to 3-3 in dual meets.  Leading the way for the Lady Cardinals were Ashley R. & Molly F. with both carding rounds of 43.  Jessica T. shot a 45 and Lindsie L. rounded out the scoring with a 52.
  
  In the JV division, the "Jr. Cards" scored a team victory with a score of 226-237 over Ralston, improving their dual record to 3-2 on the season.  Brooke M. won medalist honors with a 50!

• Monday, Sept. 23rd @ Whispering Creek in Sioux City the scores were as follows:
  Ashley R. - 89 & finished 3rd, Jessica T. - 95, Molly F. - 99, & Courtney B. - 114
  The Lady Cardinals as a team finished 4th.

• Friday, Sept. 20th @ Norfolk the scores were as follows:
  Ashley R. - 81, Amy R. - 92, Jessica T. - 94, Molly F. - 102, & Courtney B. - 106

• Playing in the Lincoln SE Invite on Thursday, Sept. 12th, the Lady Cards finished 3rd as a team.  SSC lost a scorecard playoff with Norfolk, placing them in the 3rd position.  Lincoln Pius X won the event shooting a 333, while SSC & Norfolk both shot 361.  Leading the way for the Cards was Jessica T. with an 86, good enough to place her 9th.  Ashley R. carded an 87 for 10th place, Amy R. shot a 90, & Molly F. a 98 to complete the scoring.

• Lady Cardinals Golf team WON the dual with Omaha Gross 174-256.  Ashley R. was the Medal Winner carding a 41.  Other scores at the varsity level included:  Amy R. and Jessica T. both shot rounds of 44 & Courtney B. fired a 45.

In the JV division, Leah B. led way with a Medal Winning round of 63. 

• The Lady Cardinals Golf team finished 2nd to Beatrice (169 to SSC 179)  in a meet on Thurs., Sept. 5.  Amy R. led the way with a Medal Winning round of 40.  Other scores at the varsity division included:  Jessica T. with a 42, Molly F. with a 44, Courtney B. with a 53, & Maggie D. with a 56.  Ashley R. was ill.
  
  In the JV division, Brooke M. led way with a round of 56.  Other scores included Molly Z. with a 76, Breanna K.  with a 65, & Lindsey L. with a 68.

• Lady Cardinals finish 3rd in Lincoln Pius X Invite shooting a 355 as a team.  Jessica T. shot an 85 & placed 10th to lead the way for the Cardinals.  Ashley R. shot an 87 which placed her in the 13th position.  Amy R. shot an 88, followed by Molly F. with an 95.

• The Lady Cards shot a 363 (3 strokes behind Humphrey St. Francis) as a team to take 2nd place.  Ashley R. was the Medal Winner for the meet, carding a round of 80.
