Lady Cardinals Top Fremont 1-0   Record: 3-7
Emily Hanish scored the only goal for SSC on an assist by Karyn Kelly.  Courtney Bahney had 15 saves in the shut out.
 

Duchesne 2   SSC 0    Record: 2-7
Courtney Bahney had 32 saves. This proved to be a costly game for the Lady Cardinals. Already playing without 4 players due to other commitments, SSC may have lost 2 key players for the remainder of the season. Autumn Boyer and Rachel Christiansen received injuries that could sideline them for the next 2 weeks. SSC now 2-7. 
JV team battled to a 0-0 tie to move their record to 5-2-1.

Courtney Bahney had 33 saves as the Lady Cardinals lost to another Top 10 team in Class B. SSC now 2-6.
 
JV team also lost to drop their record to 5-2.

Sioux City West Shut Outs SSC 3-0   Record: 2-5

SSC goals scored by Ruby Hernandez and Amber Arreola. Isabel Camacho was the winning goaltender.

Seward Downs the Lady Cardinals 1-0   Record: 2-4
SSC was out shot 5-7. The wind dominated the game. SSC played without 5 varsity players, 3 of them starters. Courtney Bahney made 6 saves in the loss

This was a shootout victory for the JV. SSC goal in regulation was scored by Ivonne Chavez and assisted by Karyn Kelly. The score was 1-1 at the end of regulation. The teams went into a shootout. SSC won the shootout on the fourth penalty kick 3-0. The 3 successful penalty kicks were kicked by Meleshia Jensen, Emily Hanish, and Karyn Kelly. Goalkeepers for the game were Meleshia Jensen, Isabel Camacho, and Autumn Boyer.

The Lady Cardinal soccer team opened the season Friday, March 17, with a Varsity game on the road against Douglas County West (also known as Valley).
SSC goal was scored by Alicia Elliott, assisted by Emily Hanish and Mariel Guerrero.
SSC goalkeeper, Courney Bahney, had 13 saves including one on a penalty kick.
Not the start we were looking for, but a very physical game that we could use to get us ready for some conference teams.
