NE State Swimming and Diving Results:

Bridgette Schram's 50 fly split was a 27.64 sec., and her leadoff leg of the 200 free relay was 25.25.  She finished 10th  in the 50 Freestyle preliminaries.  Bridgette also finished 9th in the 100 Butterfly preliminaries with a time of 1:02.76. Coach Patterson stated, "Bridgette's quick 50 fly time on the relay made it clear that her training was likely going to peak nicely for the rest of  her swims Friday." Her times in these events were lifetime personal bests and both rank in the top five in school history.  On Saturday's finals, she ended up 11th in both events.

Stephanie Clausen finished the 50 Freestyle with an improved time of 26.32 seconds, but did not qualify for finals.  Her 50 free split times on relays were 26.33 and 26.31 seconds.

Erin Pfister's 50 back relay split was a 33.74 and her free split was 26.55.

TIffany Kennedy made her first appearance in two relays as a ninth grader.  Her 50 breast split was 35.72 and her 50 free was 28.43.

The Medley Relay team of Erin Pfister, Tiffany Kennedy, Bridgette Schram, & Stephanie Clausen swam a 2:03.4, which was their best time of the season by a second, but didn't qualify for the finals.

In the 200 Freestyle Relay the same four swimmers did not make the final 12, but they did have a season-best time, bettering their previous time by 2.5 seconds.

Coach Patterson stated, "All of the athletes that went to state have made progress this season in order to reach this point in their high school swimming/diving careers."

NE State Swimming and Diving Results:

Diver Ryan Oatman made his 1st appearance at state as a junior, but he did not reach the finals.  Coach Patterson stated, "All of the athletes that went to state have made progress this season in order to reach this point in their high school swimming/diving careers."

  • Bridgette Schram, the Sr. Captain, now trains for state!
  • Jr. Stephanie Clausen qualifies for state for the 1st time in the 50 free!

  • 5th place finish in the 200 backstroke relay was their best result with a time of 2:57.63.  Members of that relay team were Samantha Lee, Rachel Kotalik, Megan Belew, & Lauren Duimstra.  Great Job Gals!
