2009 Season Results

• SSC 6th in RCC Tennis Tourney
  Justin Heitman finished 5th at No. 1 Singles; Colby Bausch finished 6th at No. 2 Singles; No. 1 doubles team of Taylor Noteboom and ryan Heeney took 5th; and No. 2 doubles team of Deric Hoch and Guillermo Ortiz also took 5th.
• SSC 6 Omaha Roncalli 3
  Single Play: Guillermo Ortiz won 8-4, Taylor Noteboom won 8-5, Ryan Heeney won 8-1, & Deric Hoch won 8-3
  Doubles Play: Heeney-Noteboom won 8-4 & Ortiz-Joey Robertson won 8-2

Dillon Lieber & Jon Pfeifer both were Honorable Mention selections for the
2008 Coaches Association Class B All-State Boys Tennis Team!

2008 Season Results

• NE State Tennis Tournament:
  At #1 Singles Dillon Lieber had a 1st round bye and then won his 2nd round match with a 6-4 6-4 win over T. Yahnke of Elkhorn.  In the quarterfinals Dillon lost to C. Larson of McCook 6-1 & 6-1.  Dillon finished the season with a 15-6 record.
  At #2 Singles Jon Pfeifer had a 1st round bye and then won his 2nd round match with a 6-0 & 6-0 win over G. Dicus of Omaha BT.  In the quarterfinals Jon lost to A. Wirth of GI-CC 6-3, 3-6, & 5-7.  Jon finished the season with a 15-6 record.

• River Cities Conference Tournament - SSC Finishes 3rd
  Jon Pfeifer & Dillon Lieber lead SSC & both qualify for the NE State Tennis Tournament.
  Jon Pfeifer (14-5 record) won the No. 2 Singles crown over Jacob Sorensen of Beatrice.
  Dillon Lieber (14-5 record) finished 2nd in the No. 1 Singles match falling to Michael Sambol of Omaha Skutt.
  Justin Heitman & Colby Bausch teamed up to finish 6th in No. 1 Doubles.
  Taylor Noteboom & Ryan Heeney finished 6th in No. 2 Doubles

• Mount Michael Swings Past the Cardinals 7-2  Record 1-5 in Duals
  Dillon Lieber won his #1 singles match 8-1.  Jon Pfeifer & Lieber won the #1 doubles match 9-8 (7-3 in the  tiebreaker) and remained undefeated as a pair in duals with a perfect 6-0 record.

• Omaha Ralston Tops SSC 5-4   Record 1-4 in Duals
  Dillon Lieber won his #1 singles match 8-4, Jon Pfeifer won his #2 singles match 8-1, and Justin Heitman won his singles match 8-5.  In doubles play Lieber & Pfeifer teamed up to win the #1 doubles match 8-2.

• Lincoln Pius X Invitational:
  #1 Singles: Dillon Lieber went 3-1 and won the consolation championship
  #2 Singles: Jon went 2-2 and lost in the consolation championship
  #1 Doubles: Justin Heitman-Colby Bausch went 0-2
  #2 Doubles: Allen Greer-Taylor Noteboom went 0-2

• Skyhawk Invitational:
  Leading SSC was Jon Pfeifer winning all 4 matches at his No. 2 singles slot.  Jon won his 1st match 8-0, 2nd & 3rd matches 8-2, and won the No. 2 singles title with an 8-6 win.  Dillon Lieber went 2-2 winning the consolation title at the No. 1 single for the Cardinals.  He won his 2 matches with scores of 8-3. 

• Norfolk, NE Tops the Cardinals 7-2   Record 1-3 in Duals
  Dillon Lieber got the No. 1 singles match win 8-2 & then teamed with Jon Pfeifer to win the No. 1 doubles match 8-2

• Omaha Gross Slipped Past SSC 5-4   Record 1-2 in Duals
  Leading the Cardinals was Dillon Lieber with the No. 1 singles match win & then teaming up with Jon Pfeifer to win the No. 1 doubles match.  Jon Pfeifer & Ryan Heeney each won their respective single matches.

• South Sioux City Tops Omaha Roncalli 6-3   Record 1-1 in Duals
  Single wins for the Cardinals came from Dillon Lieber, Jon Pfeifer, Justin Heitman & Colby Bausch.  Double wins came from the tandem of Lieber & Pfeifer and from Heitman & Bausch.

• Beatrice Tames the Cardinals 7-2 in Season Opener   Record 0-1 in Duals
  Colby Bausch won his #6 singles match 8-3 and Jon Pfeifer & Dillon Lieber won their double match 8-5.

2007 Season Results

• River Cities Conference Tournament:
  Alex Bahney led SSC by winning the no. 2 singles title.  Nic Peters finished 3rd in the no. 1 singles

• Elkhorn Mount Michael Downs the Cardinals 7-2:  Record 2-5
  Nic Peters and Alex Bahney each won their singles match

• Omaha Ralston Slips Past SSC 5-4:  Record 2-4
  Alex Bahney, Dillon Lieber, & Adrien Barrera all won their singles match by scores of 8-2; Lieber & Jon Pfeifer won their doubles match 8-1.

• Cardinals Rally Past Omaha Skutt 5-4:  Record 2-3
  Nic Peters & Alex Bahney, Dillon Lieber & Jon Pfeifer, and Adrien Barrera & Brit Conover all won their doubles match to fuel the comeback victory.  Single winners were Alex Bahney 8-4 & Dillion Lieber 9-7

• Norfolk Slips Past SSC 6-3:  Record 1-3
  Winning singles was Alex Bahney & Dillon Lieber.  Doubles team of Lieber-Pfeifer were also winners
  JV lost 5-1:  Brit Conover & Justin Heitman were winners in doubles

• Omaha Gross Squeaks by the Cardinals 5-4:  Record 1-2
  Alex Bahney, Dillon Lieber, Jon Pfeifer, & Adrien Barrera all got singles wins.

• SSC Rout Omaha Roncalli 8-1:  Record 1-1
  Nic Peters, Alex Bahney, Dillon Lieber, Jon Pfeifer, & Adam Anderson each won their singles and doubles matches.  Adam Anderson teamed up with Adrien Barrera for a win at the 3rd doubles.

• Beatrice tops SSC 5-4 in season opener:  Record 0-1
  1 Singles:  Nic Peters won 8-6
  2 Singles:  Alex Bahney won 8-6
  3 Singles:  Dillon Lieber lost 9-8 (7-4)
  4 Singles:  Jon Pfeifer won 8-3
  5 Singles:  Adrien Barrera lost 8-3
  6 Singles:  Adam Anderson lost 8-4
  1 Doubles:  Alex - Nic won 8-2
