2003 Season Results

Jenni Flynn Wins the NE Class B State Tennis Tournament No. 2 Singles Title

     Jenni Flynn defeated Kelly Hogan of Hastings 6-0 & 6-0 to claim the 2003 NE Class B State Tennis Tournament No. 2 Single Title.  She advanced to the finals with a win over Hillary Glenn of Scottsbluff by scores of 6-2 & 6-2.  Jenni completed the season with a 23-1 singles record and a 7-2 doubles record.

     For her tennis career at SSC, Jenni has a school record 32 singles wins & a school record 34 career doubles wins, for a school record total of 66 victories.

• Jenni Flynn got a 1st Round No. 2 Singles win over Stephanie Gahan of Ralston with scores of 6-0 & 6-1
• In the No. 1 Singles division, Jenny Gotch lost 6-0 & 6-1 to Lauran Pauley of Adams Central
• In the No. 1 Doubles division, Sally Gutschow & Noelle Obermeyer lost 6-1 & 6-1 to Omaha Skutt's Angela Polodna & Emily Strawhecker.
• In the No. 2 Doubles division, Jessica Tondreau & Anna Gude also lost 6-2 & 6-3 to Jessica Fitch & Jessica Oliver of Wilber-Clatonia

• Jenni Flynn claimed the No. 2 Singles Title in the RCC Meet.  In the round-robin portion of the meet, Jenni won all 6 of her matches and then went on to claim the title by defeating Jocelyn Sturek of Omaha Gross by a score of 8-0.
• In the No. 1 Singles division, Jenny Gotch claimed a 6th place finish for the Lady Cardinals
• In the No. 1 Doubles division, Sally Gutschow & Noelle Obermeyer claimed a 4th place finish
• In the No. 2 Doubles division, Jessica Tondreau & Anna Gude claimed a 3rd place finish
• SSC claimed a 4th place overall finish in the conference meet
