The Dan Lennon features many of the best track and field athletes in the three state area. We had some good efforts from many of our kids. The Monday meet was hard on the athletes that doubled back from Saturday.  It did give most of our kids a chance to see how they compare to the best.  A few of the Conference and District teams were at this meet. We got a look at what they can do. We have six weeks to make some changes and improvements.  Our strength training has been going well. Our field events will be our strength until we can get some more time on the roads and track. We have a young team and inexperienced.  Our coaches and athletes need to do a good job of being patient as focus on improvement. We have a couple of meets next week that will give us a chance to see all our kids. We'll need to move some kids around in events hopefully our athletes will respond in a positive way.

It is always good to get your season started and the areas that are strong and need improvement. Shaun andLogan had a really good start to the season.  They both had personal bests in the events. We appear to be decent in the field events and need to improve on the track. We didn't have everybody but we did see some competitive efforts.
