South Sioux City Girls Track and Field The South Sioux City Girls Track and Field team traveled to Norfolk, Friday, April, 25th, and came away with an impressive 2nd place performance. The Norfolk Invite represents one of the most challenging meets on our schedule, so this performance is very encouraging. Every girl competed hard and well, many girls set season or lifetime best marks. Highlighting the 2nd place performance was the victory by Sara Gotch in the 400 meter dash. Sara came back to finish 2nd in the 200 meter dash, as well as 4th in the Long Jump and anchor the 4x100 meter relay to a fourth place finish to cap off a fantastic day. Another meet highlight would be Molly Hines 2nd place finish in the Triple Jump. Her jump is the second best jump ever by a SSC athlete and narrowly missed the school record by less than 1.
