A Cinco de Mayo event, "Celebrating Latin America," is Saturday in South Sioux City.

The free event, from 2 to 8 p.m., will feature cultural performances, dancing, Folkloric Ballet La Perla Tapatia and Estrellas de Jalisco, Justin Kisor and his jazz combo and Mariachi Band Los Rancheros.

SSC Schools will host a booth.

A dance with music by the Supremos de Neuvo Leon band and D.J. Isaac Quinonez will be from 9 p.m. to 1 p.m. for those 13 years and older.

Admission to the dance is $5. Tickets will be available at the Siouxland Unidad Latina booth throughout the day.

All events will be at the Marina Inn Exhibit Hall, 5th and C streets, South Sioux City.

The 1^st Graduation Pancake Breakfast. This first year we will be raising funds to help send South Sioux City wrestler Sammy Flores to compete in the AAU Walt Disney Duals in Orlando Florida. He has been invited to be part of Team Nebraska and this is a big honor not only for him but for our community to be represented at such a prestigious event.
