SharePoint Info

Microsoft SharePoint is a web application platform developed by Microsoft.  It works much like Google Docs, but intergrates easily with Internet Explorer and Microsoft Office products like Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

SharePoint has a Microsoft Office-like interface, and it is closely integrated with the Office suite. The web tools are designed to be usable by non-technical users. SharePoint can be used to provide intranet portals, document & file management, collaboration, extranets, websites, and enterprise search. It also has capabilities around system integration, process integration, and workflow automation.

SharePoint can be used in multiple ways.   Click here for a short YouTube Video on how to find and log into the district SharePoint Site.

Here are just a couple examples:

  1. Upload documents, pictures or files to a SharePoint site
  2. Create a calendar item and connect a SharePoint Calendar to your Outlook
  3. Participate in a SharePoint discussion board
