Pledge of Allegiance
High School Staff and Students recite the Pledge of Allegiance daily. The students recite the pledge at 9:28 a.m. on Mondays and 9:44 a.m. Tuesdays-Fridays. These times correspond with the start of the School News Broadcast.
Mid-Term Grades:
This year the high school will send home Mid-Term Grades in Term A and Term D without having a formal parent teacher conference in the evenings as we have in the past. In Term B and Term C the high school will have formal parent teacher conferences. Those dates are November 20th and 21st during Term B and February 7th during Term C. As always, parents can request a meeting with their students’ teachers at any time.

About Us:
South Sioux City High School is a 9-12 high school that serves 1,098 students from South Sioux City and Dakota City. The school operates on a 4 x 4 block schedule consisting of four 90-minute class periods each day. The student population is approximately 35.1% Caucasian, 53.4% Hispanic, 5.1% Native American, 3.4% Black, and 3.1% Asian. The curriculum offered to students is comprehensive in covering needs of learners across the entire range of academic abilities.
