Superintendent Search

In September 2022, Superintendent Todd Strom announced his intention to retire from the South Sioux City Community School District at the end of the 2022-2023 school year. Following his announcement, the Board of Education committed to conducting a national search for the next superintendent. After interviewing multiple search firms, the Board has retained the services of Hazard, Young, Attea and Associates (HYA).  Established in 1987, HYA is one of the oldest and largest search firms having assisted more than 1400 school districts select exceptionally talented leadership in school systems across the nation, large and small, urban and rural.
