The deadlines for the following scholarships are quickly approaching:

ACT Dates = December 12, 2020, Registration Deadline = November 20, 2020

          February 6, 2021,     Registration Deadline =January 8, 2021

          April 17, 2021,          Registration Deadline =March 12, 2021

 

 

The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) opened on October 1, at www.fafsa.ed.govBoth student and parent will need an FSA ID if you do not have one.  To apply for the FSA ID, go to www.fsaid.ed.gov.  More information on how to complete the FAFSA can be found on our school counseling website.  http://www.ssccardinals.org/schools/high-school/departments/guidance-scholarships

 

Please send your senior picture to steph.hames@ssccards.org and tell us “Where Are You Going/Been Accepted to College?”  We will print your picture and where you are going to college and put them up on the bulletin board in the commons and by the counselor’s office.  

 

November “To Do” List

Seniors ... complete these college planning tasks:

__ Apply to your top college choices.

__ Create an FSA ID for you and one for a parent at fsaid.ed.gov.

__ Complete the FAFSA.

__ Register for the December ACT by November 6, 2020

__ Set up college visits where you are interested in attending
