Programs/Services

Student Services

Welcome to the South Sioux City Community Schools Student Services web page! The Student Services Department provides educational resources, programs and services which support the academic, social, behavioral, and emotional benefit of all students.

This site was developed to provide parents, students, and community members information regarding the continuum of services and resources offered by our dedicated staff. If you or a student is in need of assistance in any of these areas, please feel free to contact the Student Services Department.

Child Find

The South Sioux City Community School District has an ongoing “Child Find” system, which is designed to locate, identify and evaluate any child residing within its geographical boundaries who may have a disability and may be in need of Special Education services. In addition, children with any disability which substantially limits a major life activity, may receive accommodations and modifications to allow them access to an appropriate education (Section 504).

The South Sioux City Community School District requests your help in locating infants, toddlers, or school-age children who are eligible to benefit from Special Education or Section 504 services. If you know of a child who lives within the boundaries of the South Sioux City Community School District, who may have a disability and is not receiving services, please contact us.
