Important Information

School Safety:

During the day, our outside doors will be locked. We have a buzzer system to let in visitors. Please press the buzzer by the front door and we will be able to let you in the building.  We will not let adults in through the door in the back of the building.  Please remind your child to not open doors for others when they’re at school. Keeping our students safe is our priority. Thanks for your cooperation.

Parking at Lewis and Clark:

We appreciate that parents park on the side streets by Lewis and Clark.

Please note the following:

                - Do not park in the bus zones—Southern and northern sides of the building

                - Do not park on the sidewalk

                - Do not sit in your car and honk your horn to get your child’s attention

                - Remember that your car should be facing the same way as the traffic

                - Our school is a drug free zone

                - Please do not smoke inside or outside of your car when you’re by our school.

Early Dismissals on Mondays

The South Sioux City Community Schools will be dismissing every Monday at 2:05 PM to allow teachers time to work together to monitor student growth on Nebraska standards, to review data, collaborate between buildings and grade levels. We appreciate your support as we work to provide your child(ren) with a successful educational experience.

Salida Temprano los Lunes

Las Escuelas de la Comunidad de South Sioux City saldrán temprano todos los Lunes a las 2:05 PM para permitirle a los maestros tiempo para trabajar juntos para monitorear el crecimiento de los estudiantes en las normas de Nebraska, para repasar información, colaborar entre edificios y niveles de grados.  Apreciamos su apoyo al trabajar juntos para proveer a su hijo con una experiencia educacional de éxito.

Arrival/Dismissal

If your child is not eating breakfast at school, please do not send your children to school before 7:45AM.  They may enter through Door #1.  There is limited supervision outside before and after school.  Students will be expected to arrive on time and leave on time.

Entrada/ Salida

Si sus hijos no tomaran desayuno escolar, por favor no los mande antes de las 7:45AM.  Ellos también podrán entrar por la Puerta #1. Habrá supervisión limitada provista dentro y fuera del edificio antes y después de clases.  Se espera que los estudiantes lleguen a la escuela a tiempo y se vayan a casa a tiempo.

Thursday Folders

Each child will be given a Thursday Folder.  Thursday Folders will allow us to maintain open lines of communication and share information.  Thank you for your support in helping your child develop a sense of responsibility as they bring the Thursday Folders to and from school.

Carpeta de los Jueves

Cada niño recibirá una Carpeta de los Jueves.  Las Carpetas de los Jueves nos permitirán mantener las líneas de comunicación abiertas y compartir información.  Gracias a todos por su apoyo en ayudar a su hijo a desarrollar el sentido de la responsabilidad al traer su Carpeta de los Jueves a y de la escuela.
