Partnerships That Make a Difference 💪❤️🖤

This week, South Sioux City Community Schools completed district-wide health screenings — and it couldn’t have been done without the amazing teamwork of our community partners!

🩺 Nursing students from Briar Cliff University and Western Iowa Tech Community College joined forces with our district nurses to provide professional, caring service to our students.

👓 Vision screenings were made possible through the dedication of the Lions Clubs of Wakefield and Tekamah, whose volunteers continue to make a real impact across Siouxland.

Thank you to everyone who helped make these screenings a success! Together, we’re ensuring our Cardinals stay healthy, safe, and ready to learn.

Homecoming Parade Canceled — Wednesday, Sept. 17

Due to the forecast of rain and safety considerations, the SSC Homecoming Parade scheduled for today (Wednesday, Sept. 17) at 4:00 p.m. is canceled. School will release early and follow our Monday schedule as planned.

Student Spotlight On Tuesday, August 26, Year 13 Cardinal House student Donovan Bacon had the opportunity to explore his entrepreneurial goals with the guidance of Terrance Walker, owner of FYVE Established, a custom printing business located on Floyd Boulevard in Sioux City. Terrance dedicated several hours to mentoring Donovan—sharing insights on design software, ordering merchandise, and the process of printing and pressing custom decals. This real-world experience offered Donovan valuable skills as he works toward his dream of running his own custom apparel business. We extend our sincere appreciation to Terrance for supporting our students and helping cultivate future leaders and entrepreneurs. 📍 Community members can learn more by visiting FYVE Established to support this outstanding local business!
