District Information
Our district provides a dynamic learning environment that includes an early childhood center, five elementary schools (K-5), a middle school (6-8), a high school (9-12), and an alternative high school.
Serving students from South Sioux City and Dakota City, South Sioux City Community Schools embraces diversity as a strength, fostering real-world experiences that prepare students for success in a global marketplace. Our students are rich in leadership, languages, culture, and life, bringing unique perspectives that enhance our school community.
Our high school is a wall-to-wall college and career academy school, ensuring all students are dually prepared for both college and careers. We focus on high-wage, high-demand, and high-skill career pathways that align with the workforce needs of Northeast Nebraska.
Our students exemplify servant leadership, giving back to the community in meaningful ways. Programs like Cardinal Christmas Baskets, Cardinal Mentors, and Student Advisory Groups highlight their commitment to making a positive impact. In SSC, kindness is a Cardinal rule, shaping a culture of respect, inclusivity, and support for all.
