The deadlines for the following scholarships are quickly approaching:
- Leo B. Riley Family Scholarship / Deadline February 28, 2022 / Rule & Procedures Information / Application
- University of Nebraska @ Omaha Goodrich Scholarship Program / Application Open through March 1, 2022 @ 5 p.m. CST / Scholarship is specifically for students interested in attending University of NE at Omaha. Information, Eligibility & Application Process / Required Materials / Web Link
- Horatio Alger Aksarben Association Scholarship / Deadline: March 15, 2022 / Info & Requirements (PDF) / Online Application
- Tyler S. Bay Scholarship by BPOE Elks Lodge #112 / Deadline March 31, 2022 / The Elks Lodge in Sioux City will offer 3 - $1500 scholarships this year / Information (PDF), Application (PDF) or Application (Word)

Parent-Teacher Conferences are Wednesday, February 9, 2022, from 4:00PM-7:00PM . Please stop by the high school and visit with your child’s teachers.
The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) opened on October 1, 2021, at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Both student and parent will need an FSA ID if you do not have one. To apply for the FSA ID, go to www.fsaid.ed.gov.
The following colleges or military representatives will be in the Counseling Office:
- National Guard = Wednesday, February 2nd = During Lunch
- Northeast Community College = Tuesday, February 8th = 1:30 in the counseling office
- University of Nebraska-Omaha, Thursday, February 24th = 1:30 in the counseling office

__ Apply for local scholarships
__ Expect financial aid award notifications from the colleges you listed on your FAFSA.
__ Check your accounts from the colleges you applied and complete the “to do” lists
__ Make sure you are passing your classes and attending school
__ Stop in the Counseling Office if you have any questions. You can also email your counselor.
