We are excited to carry on the tradition of South Sioux City High School's Homecoming during the week of September 28th-October 2nd. Unfortunately, because of the current public health situation, we will not be having a dance this year.
Homecoming Coronation will take place following the football game on October 2nd at Cardinal Field. We are looking forward to being able to welcome High School students (grades 9-12) to this game and Coronation. Mr. Clausen will send out the Homecoming Royalty survey early next week. We will announce the candidates and candlelighters on Friday, September 25th.
In order to attend the football game and Coronation, students must fill out this form by September 25th at 3:30 PM. In order to provide for a safe environment, we need to know how many students to plan for. If a student does not fill out this survey by 3:30 PM on September 25th, they will not be admitted into the game. The following safety measures will be in place and students must agree to adhere to them ahead of time in order to attend:
- Only South Sioux City High School students will be allowed admittance into the game; no students from other schools will be admitted. (Each participant in the game and/or activities will still get their 6 tickets)
- Masks will be worn at all times while on school property. Even though the game is outside, students will be sitting closer than 6 feet apart from each other, therefore required to wear a mask.
- Students must present their SSCHS School ID in order to be admitted into the game.
- If a student would like to come to Coronation, they must enter the gates before 7:15 PM. No one will be allowed to enter the facility after 7:15 PM.
We are excited to have an opportunity to observe this great week where we celebrate all that it means to be a South Sioux City Cardinal. We appreciate your flexibility and understanding as we adjust our traditional practices to create a safe environment for our students and our community.
Go Cardinals!
