About Us

Harney Elementary is a three-section building, serving students in grades K-5. Its population reflects the diversity found in surrounding neighborhoods.

The Harney staff is a committed group of professional educators who explore research on best practice and continually focus on instructional strategies that positively impact student learning. Teachers and specialists provide students with a high quality education in a positive and caring environment. Classroom curriculum includes the traditional core content areas. Students also receive instruction in art, P.E., guidance, library and technology. Individual needs of students are met by a variety of programs supporting student learning including ELL, SPED services, Plus Time, and differentiation in all classrooms.
