The South Sioux City Speech Team competes from December through March throughout the state. The team consists of Freshmen through Seniors. Speech Team is not only a team event but also an individual competition where students write informative, persuasive, and entertainment speeches and then perform the piece for judges. Students can memorize, poetry, humorous prose, dramatic prose that is also performed for judges. Students can choose to act as a duet or even on an Oral Interpretation of Drama team, where scripts are acted out.
